Need HELP Please

I just replaced the EGR Cooler on my 2004 Ford F250 V8 6.0L Turbo Diesel, plugged everything back in the right spot, had it running for about 15 mins, then put it in reverse and stepped on the gas and nothing happened. The engine didn't even rev when I stepped on the gas.Tried it in Drive and same thing happened. It started to idle really rough and then it died. Tried to start it back up and now it doesn't start. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Codes?

Did you go through check list for no start in tech folder?

What led you to replace egr cooler? Did you check oil cooler?

Go down the list of everything you had out and recheck it. Fuel, FICM, etc. Check your secondary fuel filter to see if it has fuel/fuel flow. How much fuel in your tank?? Intake removed or just loosened? oil cooler replaced?

I removed the intake manifold, did not touch the oil cooler, fuel filter did not have fuel in it until I loosened the cap and cranked the engine a couple times. Now it has fuel. But it still will not start.

Replacing the EGR cooler without replacing the oil cooler is going to put you right back in the same boat with another bad egr cooler.

Suppose you didn't do something related to the oil cooler right... and there is no oil pressure (either low or high oil pressure), you would not be able to get it started.. or it would start and it would sputter and die as soon as the HPOP have no oil to pump.

Think about that.

Oh.. completely concur with 06silver.

If you have a failed EGR cooler, it is time to do both Oil cooler and EGR cooler, AND to add a coolant filter, and to do a complete flush with VC-9.

Do you have scangauge? If so are you getting anything for your ICP value? I think you need to go back through everything and make sure it's all hooked up. I also think you need to do your oil cooler, but that means a tearing it all apart again.
