He said they are all off a 68....and forgot to mention a dash pad with NO cracks.

I got such a deal on the parts, I just could not pass them up.

I went there to get the top and doors, and he started showing me the rest of it.

No fenders or tailgate though, but the dash has all the wiring/plugs.

Also sorry to say he put a 1980 chevy monza body on the ol 68 bronco running gear. I saw what was left of the tub, it was gone from having rock salt bags stored in the bed that had busted open.

Almost destroyed the back end of the frame along with the back end of the tub.

Might use the top and doors on ol red for winter wheeling or flip sale all the parts??

"...the...doors...flip sale all the parts??..."
the reason I asked bout the doors is cuz that's the last yr for the removable window frames. Look @ the frnt/back door edges & see the (3 bolts/side) bolts to remove them. It's a nice idea to take out the frames when runnin topless, U flip down the windshield & have no thing higher than the top of yer stearing wheel!

Thanks for the heads up on the door window frames, I had not even looked at them that close.

The guy said the parts are all off a 68...they are going in the barn for now, I have a road trip to go on...

Enjoy, be safe AND productive!
Thanks for the pic, the stuff sure looks spiffy eventho so close to all that salt!

"...the door window frames..."
B careful on dissasembly, their worth $125 a piece. There's a "Y" on the bottom that may bend depending on how U take them out. The latch and striker (if it IS a '68) are the 1st of the run that finished up the model (ie 66 - 7 is different).

Good grief where did the rest of last year go and when did we we get into 2014....

Parts still in the shed, bronco under the carport, roll bar mod still on hold cause "I'm on the road again".

Here is the youngest grandson, just before I left, I think he is ready to drive.

Excuse the cobbled up trac bar drop bracket...ah the joys that PO's pass on to you.

Ol red's getting a trail buddy... I like the body less version and I plan on it staying that way.

73 EB w/title, 302 3 spd, 33's and different fuel tank, should be mine in a few weeks.

Even has a back seat! Move over 2wd volkswagen dune buggy folks.

Where is the frame stamped vin BTW? I know normally the vin tag is on the glove box door, when it has a dash and a glove box hole to bolt too...

Yes it has a glove box hole, but it is in an all metal none OEM dash.

Got the ol FTE advanced search fired up and figured it out. On the passenger side top of the frame rail buy the front shock or body mount and maybe on the passenger side rear frame rail too.

Should be easy to spot with NO body on it.....ya think?

Well look here.....the bottom half is a 73 Bronco with a 302/3 spd.

The top half is pure fun.

Thanks for the help naming it, we had not really named it yet....so now its officially the "Hillbilly Buggy".

My used but original 3 spd shifter came in today, so I can ditch the PO home made twin stick goofy set up. That is not user friendly, by no means.
