How about details, mileage, mods, maintenance, etc.

 

Wellcome to FTE and merry christmas, the smoke i think is posibly the turbo seals. i am no expert but from what i have learned on here thats my bet. How long does it last. hopefully the experts will chime in, it is christmas so give it some time

 

On mine... it is likely thin synthetic oil, mixed with lots of clearances from wear in the engine... but not necessarily the turbo.

It may not be a problem if it doesn't burn much oil at all.

I am experienceing this same thing as well. I have a lot of Blue smoke on start up. This only happens when the engine is cold and is worse on cold mornings. Oil is full on the dipstick. Smoke goes away as soon as she warms up and doesn't return until the next morning. I am using 5w40 synthetic and 4" TB exhaust (no kitty).

Is this smoke typical? What is there to trouble shoot?
