33" and 35" 12.50x16.5 tire pictures

I searched these forums for the best pictures but didn't come up with a whole lot. But if at all possible, I'd like to see some pictures of 73-77 F250 4x4s with either 33x12.50x16.5 or 35x12.50x16.5. I just bought a set of 16.5 wagon spokes but I'm not sure what size to go with being those are basically my only options nowadays. Thanks.

It's stock height, Highboy. I'm not looking for anything too big like 37s-40s. 33s and 35s are fine, I'm just curious to see what the 12.5s look like in both sizes.

What's kind of funny, Jared, is that I've had a picture of your truck with the bald *** 35s on my computer for a while.

I've always liked that look. Never had any problems with rubbing while turning?

Impalaslayer, what brand tire is on that truck?

HAHA!! I googled "77 highboy" awhile ago and that pic of my truck came up in the results. I guess my rusty old Ford is famous? In my own mind maybe. No, the tires don't come close to rubbing. They do rub my fenderwell headers at full lock though, if only slightly. I'm a big fan of the old school wagon's.

Here is my late 77 with 33x12.50x16.5's after a add-a leaf in the front, but it did not need it to clear the tires, I just wanted to level it a bit.

I do not think 35 would of fit in the front with out it, I would not try it, but think they would after the add-a lift?

You can always get some Goodyear Wrangler's MT II's Military OZ (HUMVEE) take offs.

36x12.50x16.5 Bias ply and 37x12.50x16.5 radial for around $200 to $500, other than that 16.5 are pricey.

73 - first pic is with 33x12.5x16.5's
2nd pic 315/75/16s=35x12.5x16 roughly-actually measures like 34.6x12

Go with 35s!

Wow, I couldn't agree more. The 33's make the truck look like it's oversized compared to the tires. The 35 tires match the truck really well and give it that bad-*** "agressive" look everyone's usually looking for.

IMPO, these trucks deserve that "bad-***" look because they simply are. Ford all the way, and 35's all the way. Hands down, 35's are better.

BTW, Great post LongTravelHighboy, I think your photos do the O.P'ers original question the best and show the true results from the 33 and 35 differences. Nice truck!

Aaron -
Thank you. Makes all the headaches, heartaches, and hits on the wallet worth it when you get a compliment.

One more thing for the OP, 77250custom, the 33s that were originally on my truck were FING heavy and made the truck a pain to drive. Even with the 35's, the aluminum wheels make it nice enough that I will never convert to power steering. I can one hand it in a parking lot pretty easily. An added benefit I hadnt planned on.
