I was scheduled off today, but now have to work, as our truck comes today instead of the normal Thursday delivery, even though Christmas is on Saturday. We do close a little earlier on Friday, so that may be the reasoning, get the drivers home early as well, if they are sending them out at all.

There are only 2 days of the year we are closed, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I work both New Years eve and day... my manager apologized, but enough people asked for it off, he didn't have much options... I end up having to go in the morning New Years day...

We are closed on Friday too... we are all anxiously awaiting word on if they'll let us go home at 3:00pm tomorrow. Although, the boss is gone tomorrow, so I don't see much work being done if they make us stay!
At least I don't have to work every day... Since I am only part time, I don't have to deal with it as much, but can get stuck with some of the less desirable days, but it comes with the territory... I don't have to work 60 a week either... The manager is required to work 50 a week, salary...

I have to run tonight, then off till Jan 3rd. I told them even if the plant does ship something that actually has to go befoer that I am NOT running it tomorrow with the weather coming in. Fact is nothing that will be shipped will be needed anywhere before Jan 3 so if worse comes to worse I can always run the trailer over Saterday night Jan 1 and they can load it out on sunday.
