I would have had the truck towed to ford with the shattered wheel. They would have had to do something about it then. I bet a lawyer will fix that problem. The 19.5" is a great way to go. I bet those dont crack.

One thing you really need to try is calling your auto insurance
company and see if you have some recourse with them. They
may also help to find the why this happened and after that
many I would start to give a good look at the shop that did the
tire work. If they dropped a rim when the tire was off then
the machine would not of done the damage If you have not already
don't release the rims to anyone from the shop. You need someone
that knows about rims and stress failures. Ford may not be the at fault
and may be of help to find out what did happen. Talk to there engineering
department and see what they have to say. You never know.

Another crack

I know this is old but I just saw this during a search because I had the exact same crack the first poster mentioned but on a different spoke (not the one with the valve stem). I just replaced it with a $300 used ebay wheel ($400 after shipping and mounting) since I did not want to shell out the money for all new wheels or tires. I may be in the market for tires by next year and will switch to 18 after seeing this.

They will be fine unless there is a visible crack

Your Harley wheels are very similar but mine were the 20" wheels that came with the Chrome package on the 2006/7's. Two of my three cracked like yours. the third cracked under the bead. Ford never did a thing although there have been enough reported that the Gov is giving it a look. This guy from the Gov't contacted me about 6 months ago and wanted all kinds of info and pictures which I provided. Haven't heard anything. Get in touch with him and add to the list. Good luck.

We tow a 5th wheel Toy Hauler and those Ford wheels were suicide. Two wheels cracked when empty. Only one wheel, front left, blew when towing @ 65mph. Wasn't fun.
Replaced a few years ago with 19.5 Vision Heavy Haulers and MDT tires and no more worries.

Funny you say front left, that's exactly the same I had a problem with last year that I wrote off as just a normal blowout on the freeway and now this rim in the same spot
