I have a 06 F-250 with 62,000. miles and today the check engine light came on for the first time ever. After three shot trips around town and a bought 28 miles the light went out. The only thing that I have noticed different is at warm up on the last two mornings is some blue smoke (5 minuets of idling). After that I did not notice anymore smoke at all under any other conditions and I was watching for it.
My two questions are what is the best scan tool to get to check for codes and what do you think could be going on with the truck? Thanks for your help.
