Question Hood safety latch spring

Has anyone had any luck finding these double torsion springs? Mine is barely functional.

fastenal has 10 pages of torsion springs... didn't see a perfect match, but I bet there is something that can be adapted with minimal effort.

I just don't trust it. I had the hood fly up on my '49 Jeepster several times. Lots of work to fix each time. My hood on this '50 F2 is new so I don't want to bang it up. It looks great the way it is.
