Precut or custom cut clear bra?

I just bought a 2011 Mustang and want to install a clear bra. Which would be better---precut or custom on- site cut clear bra? I will have it professionally installed.

Pre-cut with no more than 1/8" stretch required

The dealership is telling me that the precut bras were causing too many customer complaints and that is why they reverted back to the custom cut on site bra. But I would tend to agree with you-the precut would be better-but why would it be better?

And why would the amount of stretch be a factor? More stretch would stress the material?

And possibility of paint damage from the clear bra over the years?

It really depends on the distributor who pre-cuts the material.....some require up to 1/2" stretch which is just impossible to apply. Some of the cutouts are also, well not astecially pleasing such as with mine...I really didn't like the overlap for the flat surface area which is the area below the grill and above the bumper- so I trimed it myself- much easier to trim than do a complete cut.

Also, my original install by a 3M certffied installer was crap, plain and simple and was removed after his 3rd try in 2 weeks...no paint issues at all. i wnet to their regional training center, got the names of a few instructors and hire them to do the install- ended up, once the guy found out i tinted my own windows and dod most of my own work, he requested i give him a hand...and for the F150, I can really see where it made the install quality difference just due to the length of the pieces.

Really, thoug, if one person has done window tinting, this is easier because of the material thickness, and with 2 people, it is no big deal to install!
