Talking What is your favorite holiday tradition?

Old or new, what is your favorite tradition? ALL are welcome to post, share & enjoy!

About the only thing we do is I cook up a big batch of food Christmas day and the house is open to who all wants to come, eat, and relax a bit. We used to do the deal where we went from family to family's house. But after the first year with our daughter doing that, forgetting/losing things, I decided to start the new tradition... and it stuck!

It's been years, but every Thanksgiving we'd draw names out of a hat. The name you got, you exchanged a gift with them at Christmas. That was just on my mother's side of the family. We haven't done that in...gads...forever. Of course most are either moved away or passed away, so it's impossible to get together.
