I thought it was my truck. I was getting 14-15 mpg with my 33/12.50/17 Mickey Thompsons then I put some 35/11.50/18 on for my winter tires and the mpg went to about 11. I was confussed cause I didnt think the new tires would make that big of a difference cause they are narrower. So I ended up getting a 96 saturn to drive to keep miles off my truck and not waste so much gas. I couldnt take putting 150 in fuel in my truck a week much longer.

That's what I have done a long while ago. I picked up an 01 Sable beater to drive in winter. 23 mpg is much better than 15 mpg in winter. Plus now my truck will be around for a lot longer before it's worn out and rusted out.

Stop complaining. We're paying $7.48 a gallon in Europe and our F150s drink just as much. It costs me $230 to tank up and sometimes thats gone in 6 hours.

I love my truck, enough in fact that my wife thinks I'm crazy, but $2.89 a gallon @ 12.1 mpg (last tank) sure does put a dent in my wallet.

No complaints, just a simple statement of the facts. I love my truck...so much in fact that I just made an appointment to put new rubber under her. The current japanese off brand probably has 20k miles still left in them, but I need something better for inclimate weather and they just aren't cutting it. Michelin's on Monday!!!

That is twice what I have to pay. For the mpg's that I get I should have bought the V10.

Same here, mileage just went to crap in last two weeks, price of course is up, and we're all taking it posterior side as usual. BUT, FWIW, get the emails of your State senators and add it into your address books and send out emails to them on a regular basis every few months when the gas starts to climb and express well how disappointed you are with the state of gasoline and it's cost and ask them to explain what they're doing to fix it. Just keep pounding them...

I have lost a couple mpgs here since it got really cold. Nothing unusual, its the combination of the winter gas and the cold in general. If you start your truck up and let it idle for 10-15 mins to let the heat come on, that uses a lot of gas in the long run.

The clever Euro-drivers are driving bio-diesel... Turn that old pommes frittes oil into cheaper mpg. (less than a dollar per gallon after processing for fuel)

The Europeans don't find diesel to be as disgusting as Americans do.

Summer or Winter not the problem. Ethanol blend is killing the mpg.
Check out this site for stations selling ethanol free gasoline in your state;
Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada
Lots of information here; http://www.google.com/search?source=...=ethanol+blend

None within 35 miles of me... Why does straight gas (no ethanol blend) cost MORE than the 10% blend? Ethanol costs more to make than gasoline costs per gallon to produce. Even the govt knows that (though the govt forced use of corn for ethanol program is still ongoing).
