Has anyone swapped amber lenses on mirrors to another color with orange LED's. Looking for how to take mirrors apart and level of difficulty.

 

I am asumming your not talking about 08+ in which case I swapped to the smoked recon ones on my 2004. The trick of patience, which I happen to lack. To access the turn signals you need to remove the plastic cover on the mirror. To remove the cover you need to adjust the mirror in order to get behind it to release three plastic clips. Unfortunately I was not gentle enough with the plastic clips and broke them. I ended up super gluing them back together and I have had zero issues with it since. I suppose the job wouldnt be difficult just take your time and follow the directions.

To release the amber mirror lens just look between the big mirror and the outside frame and push the release tab and the lens will slide forward and pop right out.
