thanks guys i was given a shop schimatic, got it all done, and for those of you who asked, it was done with a cherry picker, and only took a few hours, very easy by my self. thaks to all this is a great site and im apprcieative for it. it would have gone better if my shop wasnt 40 degrees celcius, but hey im two pounds lighter today........

unbolt the oil pan slide it back drop the pick up tube down and let if fall in the pan then slide the pan out.
Any other parts that need to be detached .... tranny? turbo?

I might try this cause it feels like I could stick my finger through that pan right now its so rusted.

Also ... would this piece of equipment do the job, or is the superduty engine bay too tall to get the arm up and over?

nope was the shroud is out of the way its easy. lifting it with a small crane will work fine. check harbor fright tools they may be cheeper

Mine just dumped the bed today any suggestions on using factory parts or aftermarket? Also anyone get a new set of bolts the heads on the bolts in my truck are no good.
