Proper way to drain carburetor float bowls?

I'll be replacing the jets in my carburetor tomorrow and never had a carburetor apart before. It is a BG Road Demon, a Holley clone with no visible drain plugs. I'm trying to find the proper, easiest way to do this without making a mess of things since I have to work on it inside the house (0-10f temps outside). Someone online said flip it upside down and let it drain though the vent tubes while someone else said you have to just remove the float bowls and let the gas run out. I found documentation on what to do once I get the carburetor apart but not how to get it apart properly.

Sorry to sound like a newbie but this is my first experience tearing apart a carburetor.

On Holleys, and I assume on Holley-style carbs, just remove one of the bottom bowl screws and it'll drain the bowl nicely. I would do this BEFORE you remove it from the vehicle and I certainly wouldn't bring it in the house until it's empty and sprayed with a contact cleaner (I use Brake-Kleen) since gas fumes can ignite on any flame source such as a pilot light from a water heater. You can either catch it in a rag or towel or go high-tech and get a can ( an empty tuna or cat food can works well due to their low profile) to keep it from making a mess.
