Drivers side heat not working

I have a 2009 ford expedition that has the fancy digital heat controls. The drivers side will not put out heat(fan works) but the passenger and rear controls work fine. Anybody know the location/name of the component that has failed?

I already had a AC blower stuck on high with only 35k on the vehicle (due to a failed temperature sensor) that only cost me 95 dollars from Mr Ford. Wish that this car just had the 3 simple ***** like on my 2000 expedition. Too many part failures in the digital system with only 38k on it.

Matt

It was the heater door

I had to take it to the dealer and they told me it was the heater door. They agreed to pay for 900 of the 1000 dollar repair. Nice since it was out of warranty. Not sure I agree with their cost estimate.

I would be a happier if they had not broken the GPS when fixing the heater. Now I have a GPS error that says see your dealer for repair!!!!

Well I don't agree with the hourly rates, but the heater doors/motors/etc. require pulling the entire dash apart. It's about a 10 hour job or so.

hourly rates

the repair only took them a morning.....love the troubleshooting on the NAV/media screen if you press 3 and 6.
