Who here has..........

swapped a Mustang computer into their pickup?! I hav been having issues with my 5.8/ 5 speed swap, and instead of swappin to a carb, I think a Mustang computer would be better idea. Anyone have a chart of what wires go where? Of a list of both pinouts I could look at side by side? I think this is my only option besides custom computer to get rid of my CEL.

Here are a couple of the MAF links I've save for myself... I am planning on doing MAF in the future and it seems like all info i found useful were in these 3. I think there was a link on one of those forums that lead to a how to convert to MAF but it was like a $20 fee to get into it... looked like just the ticket so i was waiting to pay until i was ready. Hope these help...

I put a stang computer in for my 5.0. I haven't tried to start it yet, but it should work just fine. There weren't very many wires to switch around. Use the links posted above. The 2nd link is one of the threads I started on MAF. There are a lot of links in there.

Cool, thanks. I was just starting to read through them. As far as I can tell that's the only computer I can use with my smog/EGR eliminator and not get a CEL. And hopefully it helps it run a bit better.

I would just burn a chip on the dyno for it , i use my stock 95 MA computer with a dyno chip with no egr , they just elimanate it , is expensive , like 600 , but if you have a modified motor its worth every penny , they can set your air fuel ratio , change your timing curve , set your idle , if its an computer controled auto they can adjust the tq converter and set your shift points , just need to find a good tuner...but the mustang computer should help alot....what computer are you using now.....Lew

Lew, I'm using the stock 94 5.0 MAF E4OD computer on a 5.8/5 speed.

I don't know of any tuners within 200 miles of me, and if possible I want to get away with as little $ spent as possible.
