EZ Soft Tops Upholstery Kit

Anyone ever use one of these. It isn't a cover but replaces the existing seat upholstery.

My favorite upholstery shop would even install it for a slight fee if I brought it to them... Do you have a shop nearby, I would check with them. They may even be able to get something like that at a discount.

Now that I've got my old Mustang seats installed in my 65, (thanks to Bill W. whose brackets worked perfectly and are very sturdy and easy to install) I'd like to replace the torn up seat covers that are currently in place, I've got old cloth covers which go over the old "torn up" vinyl bucket seat, hoping not to spend a lot of money on these but haven't had any luck finding anything, the ones that are in place seem to work fine (if they weren't worn out) and are typical seat covers that sort of tie and loop around the existing seats. If anyone has a source for these please let me know, I'd think they'd be all over the place but I haven't had any luck yet.

Also still looking for anyone that might have a headliner pattern for a 65, been looking for a while and these things sure are rare, didn't want to spend $200.00 on the DC item and it seems like this would be an easy piece to make if I had a pattern to go from.

Thanks for all the great information!

Seems to have lots of wrinkles in it, maybe better to go to an upholstery shop, but really depends what fits your budget.

Thanks Bill, exactly what I was looking for again, it still amazes me all I've been able to do to this old truck using this forum, truly hours of enjoyment. The old Mustang seats came with my truck but the previous owner just had them sitting in the floor of the cab bolted down with two bolts each through a piece of wood so this is a huge upgrade for me, with the new brackets they work (slide) and look perfectly, the seats sit me up in just the right position, seem safe and really fit the truck nicely, I couldn't go with a bench seat since the previous owner also installed a C6 automatic transmission and the shifter comes up where it would impede a bench. Look forward to the pattern on the headliner, this is a project I've been thinking about for a while and wanting to tackle.

Those are the skins that you use to replace your existing covers....

That price is a deal too, I need to see if they can help me out on the old Cougar.
