Umm, I can take some, I made a tray outta some angle iron and flat steel, then drilled 2 holes into the bottom, welded the bolt in like a stud and grinded it flush so you dont see any mouting points. It is just sitting onto of the plastic wheel well. I plan on making a little brace to go from the spring/shock hoop to the bottom

Looks good I miss my old Bronco. When running dual batteries like that one thing to remember is that they are only as good as the weakest battery. Always replace them in pairs. The stronger battery compensates for the weaker one. I have seen this many times on diesels.

Both are good batteries, I know to ck 1 at a time disconnected from each other, vs together like most people. Here are some bracket pics from the 95 F350 I made dual batteries in, this is a smaller battery vs the full size 65 series

Thanks for the pictures.

Im still debating on when I add my second battery if I should put it up front or put them both in the bed.

I did under the hood as I have no emissions junk in the way, and its way easier and cheaper then gettin the cables long enough to run into the bed. Plus I use my bed and dont want the batteries in the way. Its easy enough to make a tray, if you would like one, tell me what battery you want to use and I can fab you up one like mine. Doesnt take much to make it.

I've been meaning to do something like this on my current crewcab but I've not gotten around to it in 18 years. I had wired up a dual-battery setup on my old crewcab (which this one replaced) but I did it a little differently than simply wiring them in parallel.

What I did was add a second starter solenoid and a battery isolator, so both batteries could be charged and using a latching pushbutton in the cab, I could select between the two batteries for starting the truck. This broke the dependency on having to replace both batteries at the same time which in turn broke the likeliness that if one was dead/shot, I could still start the truck.

Because I don't know about you, but I never get dead batteries at home. For me, they always die when I'm nowhere near a battery store

Yea 1 is for the plow, and 1 is for the starter. I ck my batterys when I do my old changes, as well as change my trans fluid every oil change too(I welded in a drain bolt in the trans pan) filter gets change yearly. I dont have break downs.

I'm not a fan of parallel batteries because as someone said, the system is only as good as the weakest battery. Might be great now, but batteries do die eventually as we all know.

On my 81 crewcab (long gone) I had a dual battery setup that had dual alternators too, and the two were basically separate except for a switch in the cab that allowed me to switch between the batteries for starting - it simply allowed a second solenoid on the fender to "kick" when I turned the key, and the high current output terminals of both solenoids were wired in parallel - I could start off either battery, and charge both.

That broke the dependency of having to replace both batteries at the same time, and also eliminated the problem of a shorted battery making the second, good battery very unhappy, thus ruining it also over time.

Of course fabricating that is a lot more work than a pair of extra battery cables, but hopefully it's food for thought.

For the maintance that I do, that way will be fine. Plus most dual batteries that come stock in all the new rigs are wired up that way. So if its good for factory, its good for the plow bronk.
