1992 F-150 misses and cuts out, sputters.

I have a 1993 F-150 with a 5.0. About a week ago it started missing and sputtering under a load. If you just ease the gas its kinda ok but if your trying to go up a hill in overdrive it cuts in and out. Sputters. Like it has a miss. I installed new plugs, wires, cap n rotor but no luck. I thought it was something with spark but none of these helped. What the hell is it? Injectors? Coil? Help!

if you have mass air flow try cleaning that up but if not check your MAP sensor, TPS, oxygen sensor, also like streetlude said check your vacume lines out cause it maybe just that simple

The guy before me took the cats and the O2 sensor off. He ran straight pipes with glasspaks welded in. It still has the emissions air pump stuff on it.

Thats your problem right there bro you need to put a O2 sensor back on to it cause its not telling your computer what in the mixture you need (more fuel more air ect...)

What did he do when he "removed" the sensor? just let the plug hang? cut it off, ground it out?

Is it getting colder where you live or is mild I mean you still need the oxygen sensor that plays a role in the overall running quality of your truck

OK. I looked and it does have a O2 sensor at the Ypipe. I replaced it. I also cleaned the mass airflow and intake. What the hell is it?

Does it smell rich? Do you have cracks in your exhaust manifold? Do your inatke manifolds leak? Is your idle low, normal, or high? If no to the first three questions then tps (it is like 20-30$ at autozone) I'm trying to keep it cheap on you my 90 f150 it used to sputter like absolute dog hell and would die randomly I swapped the tps I still had it under warranty at autozone and has ran no sputter or stalling. Unless your idle is retardedly low I highly dought it is your IACV. Your coil I dought that cause 9/10 times that just dies or you have so much of an spark delay it won't run correct if it does start. Injectors ehh unless something managed to get them dirty in a weeks time with no signs leading up to its current condition I find that unlikely, did you do the fuel filter? Other than possibly the fuel filter or TPS I am just about out of thoughts

I am having the same problems. My speedo went haywire and ABS light came on the same time. I found this web site apparently the 60 pin connector by the fire wall can cause this.
