my newest acquisition.
71 F-350 frame, 79 cab, 73 nose. 300 six cylinder, 4 speed, dump rack body, under hood hydrolic plow setup, tilt steering column, working A/C, dana 60 open knuckle front axle with disc brakes, 5 new tires.
engine, trans, clutch, and brakes have less than 15,000 miles on them.
tires have less than 5,000 miles on them.
now for the bad
i am going to see if the t-case can be remounted.
it it can be, it is getting a plow and going to work, otherwise i am taking the dump body off and selling the rest of the truck.
not bad for $500, huh??

Master Tom, this is an interesting truck that you have there. I do not like the very high sides on the bandstand bed very much, but I am sure you did not buy this truck for looks but rather to do work with it. You are at least going to paint it one solid color, right? I think then it will look good, even with the goofy bed sides. Also, please watch out for these things that stick out of the front wheels where you turn those ***** to make the front axle work in 4x4, it is very easy to destroy them by hitting a tall curb or a big log - in other words the tires will clear the obstacle, but these things may not.

plans for the bed sides are to remove the "bandstand" racks, and fabricate a set of tapered solid sides. about 3 foot in front to 1 1/2 foot in back. then a solid back panel so i can haul stone and dirt.
and it is also getting dual wheels.
so the front locking hubs (those Little sticking out things) will be hidden and protected.
and Danny, i agree about the "divorced" t-case. they took it a little on the extremes with this one.
