1977 front end on a 1970 bump

Assuming you're talking about sheet metal, here goes:
I bought some 74 inner fenders, radiator support and hood hinges to use on my 68.
It's going to take more work than I planned and I just might change course.
The new inner fender mounts on the firewall don't match up with the holes in the firewall. Not an insurmountable problem but the old mounts don't work with the new sheet metal.
The hood hinges on the newer metal mount on the outside of the inner fender while the hinges go on the inside of the older stuff. I put the new hinges on and found that the springs don't clear the inside of my 68 hood. I can mount the old hinges on the inside of the new inner fenders but that's going to take more fabrication than I had planned.
The radiator support from the newer truck has different bolt locations for mating with the inner fenders. Using the newer radiator support with old inner fenders is probably not too big a deal.
All in all, it's turning into a lot more fabrication work than I had planned. I'm now considering repairing my old inner fenders so the original hood hinges will work, and just doing what is necessary to make the old inner fenders work with the new radiator support (trying to avoid the HUGE freight charges buying all new sheetmetal).
If you're talking axle, suspension, etc., well, I haven't gotten that far so can't answer those questions.
