Some place like NAPA should be able to get this to you for about $25.

Or the OEM approach...

100% Agreed

Don't fool around with the KATS brand products they are junk read the reviews of them all over www.amazon.com they all fail or seem to leak within months. Go with a P & T also sold as ZeroStart or HotStart heaters.

The KATS heater has always worked well for us, however we have them installed on a 4020 and 4520 John Deere.

Go the OEM route, easy to install and works great . Live in Michigan and its nice for starting up on cold mornings. No problems with leaks and is well worth it!

Well after all of the horrors stories I have heard that was very reassuring. I just wish I would have tackled this before it started snowing. Probably a project for next spring. Thanks!

We use both, with pretty good success. It is mainly the installation that determines how well they work. Good luck!

I'm starting to wish I'd done this...

-18F this morning, and I started to have a little trouble turning over.

I think the transmission oil was to blame... whoever decided a circulation pump and a cooler in a manual transmission were a good idea wasn't the brightest bulb on the string. All I got to hear this morning was pump cavitation as she warmed up.

I hear you. I have used mine this winter! I was up north of me where the temp was -38 and with Amsoil and my block heater it turned over like it was 80 out side. Only thing was my power steering pump was crying at me for a couple minutes. I am running synthetic in that too. All in all, Im very happy I installed one this fall.
Run to napa, pull it into the garage and be done with it in about 45min. My 2 cents! Oh but wait for it to get above freezing!

I have a lower radiator hose heater, it works great and it was only about $30 at O'Rielly.
