first, how do you determine need for rebuild.
Input shaft spins freely , with no play or wobble.

I want to mention that the CCV is not hooked up to intake yet.

Yesterday noticed oil dripping from exhaust.
Now I can see dark oil at end of exhaust manifolds.
I have run motor several times prior, and absolutely no oil leaks.
New rings, bores honed ,new valve seals.
I'm cool if turbo needs rebuild, timing for it sucks, but one less thing to fix later.
How tough to rebuild one?
I see a guy on ebay who sells the kit,,and will balance the shaft, or rebuild the turbo for you.
I would definitely have him balance, but should I spend the extra $200, and have him do the rebuild? the extra $$ won't break me, but it will delay getting truck on the road, and winter is already here!

Here's a pretty decent page on turbo rebuilding. Just take your time, and pay attention to how things come apart. And don't be afraid to ask questions!
