I also prefer the looks of my all clear setup to those... no offense And I'm also running 55w 5000k HID's (for now anyway) and I'm happy with the light output. I still need to adjust them down some.

I like the look of the lights. However if it were me i'd paint the grill black to match! The bulb that lights up in a circle is pretty neat looking.

5000k 55w is about as white as it gets. That's what I have in my truck.

I say yes. I skimped and bought a less expensive HID kit ($60 IIRC) and I've been having trouble with it. The "tech support" I received from the company was "swap parts around and see if the problem stays on that side or moves." When I finally narrowed the problem down to a flaky ballast and asked to get it warrantied, the response was "send us the defective part and we'll test it. If its defective we'll send you a new one. If not we send it back and charge you for shipping." I asked if I could get a replacement in advance and was told yes... if I pay $40 up front for the "convenience" and that I'd get $25 back when they get my defective part. "Lifetime warranty" not what it's cracked up to be IMO.

ddmtuning.com has been there for me through thick and thin..... not a complaint to date.

I am running 3 of their sets of HID's in various things and love them. Id say go with 5000k, anything higher and you look like a ricer. Go lower and you look like the sun

Mine came from DDM. If I were to do it over, I'd go with Retro Solutions. The DDM kits are fine, but you get what you pay for...

I have passed LEO's and none of them have batted an eye at me. I do occasionally get flashed by other drivers, its kind of weird because some days nobody flashes me at all and other days almost every car on the road will flash me. I do need to adjust them down some, just haven't done it yet.

Their kits have a good reputation and don't seem to have many failures. strokersace has their kit in his truck and I know he's happy with it.
Yes I got the high/low. The only difference is the high beams are a little more focused than the low beam.

There is a magnet in the bulb base that pulls the bulb in when you turn on the high beams to change the focal point of the lights.
