Right now my truck is a styleside but I picked up a truck with a flareside box on it. I'm thinking of swapping the flareside box onto my truck cause i just love the look of them. My question is how much more does the flareside box weigh than my current styleside? Only asking cause my truck is built to race and every 100lbs is 1/10th of a second in the 1/4 mile
What year flairside? The 87s are around 250lbs the 92-96 flairsides are about 300-325 but the rear is not where you want to cut weight unless you just want to do burnouts
Im not sure what the difference with weight is on the two beds ?? , But if you want to save weight , check out fast ford fiberglass , i use one of his front bumpers , very nice , only 6lbs , roll pan helps alot to , lots you can do to remove weight , my trucks like 3800 , thats just a little more than a fox body gt convt stang...Lew
Thats not bad , thats about where i was at before the fiberglass , i still have AC & full interior except the center console i removed , i also removed the front tank....
