FORD.
I overhauled the 460 (it is now 468 CI) in our mighty fine 88 168 WB 4 door F350. SRW C6 3.55RE. 9300 GVW always has a lumber rack installed and tools. Tires are 265-75-16 rear and 245-75-16 front
It gets 7.9 MPG towing a trailer loaded with 6000. of industrial tractor and implement around local area.
Down the freeway empty at 65 MPH on cruise AC blowing cold at 100F out it gets 10.9 mpg, averaged for 500 miles, only stop for fuel listening to Hank Snow sing Moving On.
Burn cheapest available fuel.
Has no operational Cat or EGR.
NISSAN.
93 regular bed SMALL TRUCK 2.4 ltr 220,000 miles on original engine and JATCO 4 spd OD Lockup TC, transmission and AC system. Gets over 20 mpg loaded with 1000# and 500# of people around town.
Unloaded on freeway it runs 26 MPG at 65 MPH with 2 people on board.
Tires are 225-55-16.

My F150 with the 5.8, Auto, 3.55's and 33x10.5's, gets 12.5 empty, or with 1500 pounds of firewood in the bed.

My wife has an 03 Jeep Liberty that gets right at 20 on the highway with a 3.7

95 f150 5.0 4x4 extended cab flare side 3.08 gears,31" interco trxus m/t tires. 12.5 mpg if I keep the speed at 55 and rpm's below 2500. If I blast down the interstate at 65-70 mph, mpgs drop to 10 or less. Gear swap in the works as soon as I can get it in the budget!!

You have like 20 trucks to choose from. That's cheating.

'97 F250HD 5.8L/E4OD with 3.55 gears. I got 16 to 17 highway regularly with the stock 235/85R16 tires. When I went to shorter 255/70R16 tires I lost about 2-3 MPG. MPG seems to really be effected by the weather and air density as well.

seeing as i don't have my ford yet, my current chevy 4.3(262 cubic inch) v6 with a 5 speed manual, has 220,xxx miles on it. summer, 16-17 round town, hwy 18-20 depending on condtions. winter 15mpg generally. i just filled up half a tank last night 296 miles 17 gallons, i think was 17mpg if i remember correctly.

This truck has overhauled its weight capacity many times, pulled loads it shouldn't have and has been used as a work truck for most of its life, has always had good maintinence. oh and its has stock tires size 235-75-15
