BedSide Toolbox Seal

Hey, I have seen several people looking for the seals for the bedside toolboxes, and each time they get several answers saying the seals are no longer available.

I found a solution, and my solution required me to buy 12 foot of it. I used 3 ft 2 inches on my shortbox.

If anyone would like to get a good seal on their bedside tool box just contact me and we can arrange to get you what you need. I posted some pictures in my gallery so go look and let me know if you need seals.

Didn't see any pic's in your gallery; I haven't put a storage box on a Slick yet. But pulled two off salvage beds. I was going to use 3M chalking strips; they are roughly 12" in length; I have used the same stuff along heater & A/C boxes as well.

SixtySix, I mistyped, I created a gallery in my profile. Are any of the tool boxes you have for a shortbox? I would love to figure out a way to put one on both sides of my 66.

Broomfieldbum and Sixtysix I am interested in both the seal and a tool box or maybe just a latch assembly for one. If you could please contact me at patmedic10@msn.com I would appreciate it. I live in the Springs area so I could come and pick them up no shipping Thanks Be safe

Broom, I will have to do some digging around for a short box one. And Im sure it could be done....you just need to cut the hole and you would need the bracing for the box...

SixtySix,

If you find a short bow one let me know but don't jump on it right away. I have one I am refurbing for the passenger side. The bracing is actually much less than I would have thought. It just bolts to the bedside, and then one support brace at the rear. I could fabricate that in a few minutes. I have to cut the hole in my existing bed for the one I have. I got this box in a bed I bought. The bed wasn't worth much too much rust, but I got a good tailgate, and the box out of it for $150.

Pat,

Let me know what the width measurement of your toolbox opening is, and i will calc how much seal to get you.

Thanks broomfieldbum and 66 got busy today just got home will get you the measurement ASAP. 66 my latch assembly is broken I have the handle part I think I can salvage but the guts inside for the latch are missing. Probably a spring and a chunk of metal for the latch part. Number dummy told me the latch is no longer available my compartment is salvageable I am looking for options. Thanks Be safe

I might be interested in this as well. My seal is SHOT and has hardened to a rock hard and cracking form.

Well, considering I have gotten 3 inquiries, and short bed boxes take 3' 2" and long bed boxes take 6', I may need to check into getting more from my body shop. They told me they would just refer me to their source. I will find out and post as soon as I can.

Hey Sixtysix,

I'm looking for a 64-66 f100 bedside storage/tool box for a shortbed. *Just the storage/tool box not the bed. Do you have one or know somebody that might?

I was reading this thread and you mentioned you might have one. Please let me know.

Thanks
