starter running

Ive got a 91 with a 460. The starter is staying engaged even with the ignition disconnected. Ive replaced the starter, battery, solenoid and ignition switch thinking that they could all possibly have something to do with it, but it continues to stick. Any suggestions on what i should check next? Im trying to rulebout everything before i start chasing down wires.

If you still have the old solenoid, tear it apart and take a look at it. I kept purchasing shoddy solenoids from the same place and they would weld themselves together when the starter fired off. Blow the extra bucks to get a real motorcraft solenoid.

Thanks for the info. I replaced the solenoid yesterday and thats what it was. Turns out i fried the new solenoid with my old battery that was faulty and causing an over charge to everything.
