Hauling an ATV with attached snow plow

I was wondering if any of you had any input regarding a good size for an ATV plow blade. I was thinking of getting a 48 inch wide plow but the the local plow dealer said that most ATV owners perfer the 52 inch plow when angle plowing.
I can back the ATV into the truck bed and the wider plow should be fine, right?
Thanks in advance,
Harold

A 52 is what I use. It's a Moose plow and I use the winch to lift and lower. You can back it up into the box with no trouble. Just remember to angle it when you do your sidewalk or you'll tear the hell out of your lawn. I know. The 52 will clear a 48" sidewalk in one pass.

I run a 60" plow on my brute force, and the plow sits just fine on the tailgate. It is a little hairy at times backing the atv up the ramps with 150lbs hangin 1 and 1/2 feet out front though! You should be fine.

If you happen to get the 48", you will plow with the blade straight most of the time, since when you angle it, the bike will be wider than the area being plowed
I have a 60" on my Honda TRX500 and chained up it's move ALOT of snow!! With out chains, you'll get stuck alot...
Good Luck,

Thanks

I appreciate the responses. Off to the local dealer tomorrow to get the 52 inch plow for the ATV.
