Found another one. Not for sale, but it'd be out of my price range anyway. The dash trim was '85 or '86. Guy at the shop didn't know what year, engine or any neat details but it's only got 53,000 original kilometers, I guess that's just under 33,000 miles. MINT shape.

Spent the last few weekends doing a crate engine install on a friend's son's '84 4x4. Supposedly only had 74k miles on it but it sat up a while. Was a 302 non-feedback (are these rare?) with C6. Now has a roller cam 300hp/330ftlb 302 and they had the C6 gone through along with an 1800 stall added.

I was taught that when you borrowed something, you should always return it in better shape than when received.

That's what I do. If I barrow a tool or rent a tool or piece of machinery, it always goes back cleaned up and serviced.

I borrowed a friend's Jeep while my truck was being painted. I changed the oil and filters, washed and waxed it before returning. It looked so good, someone bought it!

And with a vehicle, a full tank of gas regardless.

Even then, the age old rule should apply: "You break it - you buy it"
