I duno about them being factory, but a good after market one will work.

Just make sure you get a good warranty when you get one installed.

I dont think they came factory, could be wrong. I know there are some real good manufactorers of them that install like they came from the factory!

had one in my 91 and one of the f350s I work on has one now. Don't do it. 5-10 years and it will leak then you will have to silicone it shut because the company went out of business and you can't get a new gasket. trust me.

I got a place here in michigan that gives lifetime warranties on all their work/product.
so even if company goes out of buisness, they will replace the whole thing.

I broke the seal on it getting outa my buddies car, he took it back and they fixed it.
Then he shattered it with some subwoofers, they replaced it then.

All depends on where your at, and who does the work, but you were paying a hefty price initially for this kinda service as well.

How does a company that goes out of business replace the whole thing? Seriously, I need to know so I can get some new parts.

That's what I was thinking!! Kinda hard to get them to replace anything if they don't exist anymore.

I would assume aftermarket on that truck you saw at the junk yard. To my knowledge, I don't think they put any sunroofs in the trucks fatory until the SD's came along. I could very well be wrong though.

That would be cool! It's so funny you said that cause I was talking about that just the other day! Tyler's Tundra he used to have did that and I thought it was pretty cool.

I like sunroofs ok, but I was always afraid they would leak. Especially in a crw cab cause of the raised ridges on the roof. Can't say for sure if any OBS trucks came factory with them, but I guess it's possible.

I want that so badly! been thinking about it for a long time. but as far as sunfoof i would do one in front and back seat of my crew cab. how about this: Extended crew cab! wouldnt mind having a little extra room behind the back seat.
