Ball joints

I have a 2005 e150 window van with 66k miles. Recently my mechanic suggested I replace my ball joints because "this is typical for Ford vans". Is this true? ?Any help would be appreciated.

yes it is true, but it is less work then the 4x4 trucks. if you do not have the tools or know how you should let a shop do it plus you will need to have it aligned. total should run around $ 450.00

Thanks for the reply. I've used this mechanic for years. I should trust him.
