While changing the thermostat on Lincoln Navigator2000, I removed the radiator upper hose. There was a spring type clamp (factory installed). I went to dealership to buy a new clamp. The dealership gave me a gear/screw type clamp and told me that they dont carry the facotor installed spring type clamp. The original spring type clamp that I removed seems ok to me. Do you know if the spring type clamps are reusable or shouild be discared?
Yes, they can be reused, the only time I would reuse them if they were severely rusted or really bent and distorted but other than that they are fine to reuse.
