limited slip gear oil

I am doing some work on my front axel and i was wondering if it is ok to put limited slip gear oil in a NON-limited slip front differental.

If it says on the container that it meets or exceeds Fords specifications for the service grade & viscosity specified for the gearbox, you should be good to go.
