Took my 78 on a 1000 mile round trip a few weeks ago.

A lot of you know how I tracked my Dads old truck down in Kentucky and brought it home here to northern Indiana and fixed it up. I drove the truck to KY for a visit and some 4wheeling last month, it felt good since I used to make that trip in the truck as a kid. It was a lot of fun and I got thumbs up from tons of people on the road. She ran very good all the way down and back, 450 miles one way and we drove all over down there. Here are a few pics..

Sounds like a fun trip. Did you have any problems with it along the way? An did anybody ask you bout the truck during the trip?

Yeah, it was a blast. No problems at all, the old truck ran so good. Almost every time I stopped for gas I would have people asking about it, especially if they seen the Indiana tag once I got a ways into KY. Several people would get beside me on the interstate just to give me a thunbs up, really made me feel good! Here is a pic of somebody doing that, you can see my trucks reflection in his..

Were most of the people giving you thumbs up fellow Ford drivers? Your truck is beautiful glad you had a safe trip in it.

I was surprised, they drove everything from cheby's to jap vehicles.
I have had a lot of people tell me ''I'm not a ford guy, but that sure is a nice truck!''
