Not sure how to explain this, shudder in reverse.

2005 Expedition limited 4x4 62,000 miles

My driveway is on an incline, so basically I shifted into reverse, and when the truck started rolling backwards there was a shuddering/grinding/catching. It felt almost like a wheel was not wanting to roll backwards? Thought it might be the tranny, but did it in reverse, and same thing. Feels like something is catching. About to pull the wheel off and check it out. Any ideas? Feels like the driver's side wheel.

It could be the parking brake shoe grabbing if a retaining spring broke. You'll have to remove the rear rotors to see the parking brake assemblies.
