Removing A-Pillar

I am pretty sure but want to make sure before I screw up. There is no air bag under the driver side A-pillar right?

I have a clicking sound and it is coming from the base of the A-Pillar because there is no clip to keep it tight in the dash.

Also is the A-Pillar held on by just the two screws under the a-pillar handle? Has anyone removed before? Any tips/tricks? Thanks.

I think there are air bags but removing the cover does not hurt them or tamper with them. I had this clicking too. Take it off, buy some green felt stickers the kind that go on the bottom of lamps, etc. and put these felt pieces at all plastic/metal and plastic/plastic contact points. I also did this on the speedo cluster section. Search for dash noises to find my post/pixs.

The charge tube for the curtain airbags are typically found in the rear pillar. Just be careful when pulling it off if you have to use a small pry tool to do it in case their is any wiring for a sensor or anything running up through there.

I just recieved the full 3 volume factory service manual set from Ebay for about $33 delivered. They have full instructions on how to remove every trim piece, showing all the hidden clips and such.

Sooooooooo are you going to post the instructions ?
Or could you look at the instructions for the pillar to see if it says anything about the airbags? Did you buy the actual manuals or the dvds? Thanks for any help.

I haven't the time to read the hundreds of pages of manuals or scan them in. I just wanted to make the point that manuals are available for cheap on ebay if you're one to be removing panels or making modifications.
I have the print manuals (stacked up by nightstand for bedside reading).
