does anyone know how to replace or buy just the lens for a 2004 F350 mirror. I called 2 dealers and they want to seel me a housing for the mirror at $172.00. I know recon sells replacement lens for $109.00 for two of them, but can you buy one anywhere. And if so, How do you go about replacing it. I know it can't be made into the mirror.

 

dealer is correct. they only sell the back cover assembly. when i got my mirrors, i went with the chrome cover assemblies and they were only about $120 each. i think the textured lack finish ones were less than $75.

 

Two ford dealers both wanted $170.00 a piece. Did yours come with the turn signal lights when you bought aftermarket covers. All I really need is that one of my light lens is broken. Light still works.

 

I replaced mine with these Recon lenses Amazon.com: Recon 264120BK LED Side Mirror Lens 2003-2007 Ford F250/F350 Super Duty & Excursion (2 Piece Set) - Smoked Lens: Automotive. I've been pretty happy with them.

 

I replaced mine due to broke but working with the recons due to cost as well.

 

How do you go about replacing them. I found the recon ones. They are the only people I could find that sell replacement. All I wnat to do is put a new lens in so Water or snow won't short it out. Even recon couldnb't couldn't tell me how to do it. Would appreciate any help

 

There are tabs behind the mirro,r you push the mirror from side to side to get to the tabs, I think there were 4.

your welcome. The fit of the light was not perfect. But well enough to use.
Be careful on the install not to bend the mirror plastic or it will not sit right when reinstalled.
Also the recon plastic tabs are soft handle with care.

 

which side do you need. i replaced mine with recons, but i saved the good one. you are welcome to it if its the side you need. i will have to look to see which side i have. let me know.

 

I need the passanger side. Was broken when I got the truck. Let me know what you want for it if you have the passenger side.

 

I have the left side. You can have it for the cost to ship it to you. How do you want it shipped and where.
