What does this white vacuum hose do?

What does this white vacuum hose do?


My A/C is screwed up. Sometimes it works going downhill. Was checking vacuum lines. Saw this. Its crumbled right above the blower (the white one). 1993 F-350 460/auto. Thanks for any help.

I believe thats the line to the actuator which selects where air is dumped out at...aka defrost, floor, vent, etc....

I may be wrong...

The white line is to the outdoor air/recirculate vacuum motor.

Should only have vacuum on that line when the control is set to MAX (RECIRCULATE) or OFF.
