Bars Leaks block sealer?

Not diesel related, but i like you guys and the nissan forum is damn useless...
My Sentra has a very slight leak at the head gasket on #4. Pressure into the cooling system and coolant out of the motor. It's not much, its not running hot, and it still runs great, but it's there...
Now the way i see it I can fix it right, or fix it cheap. The car has almost 228xxx miles, uses no oil, and is rusty as crap.... It's not worth much and i don't want to put a lot into it and i don't really have the time to put a head gasket on, but if theres no option i will...so....
Has anyone use the Bars Leaks block sealer? What was your result?

bars leaks and risoline are like chevy and gmc. just different names, same product.
as for the stuff, used it in my buddies 93 civic and it sealed it up in 3 minutes of idling. but with the easy use ones, there is the above mentioned and the irontite all weather seal, both are coolant friendly and work well.

never used either, but i have used blue devil Blue Devil Engine and Cooling Sealant (32 oz.) - BLU38386
works fantastic.
you need to thoroughly flush the system.
for a rusty beater, i probably would not use it, but for a good vehicle, well worth the money spent.

Someone a few years ago posted about using the stuff and said it worked great. That is when I decided to try it on a chevy 454 to fix a weeping plastic intake. Worked fast, no more wet spots, has been in for around 2 yrs. My dad then bought some for his Pontiac with the AGAIN plastic intake and it fixed that one with over 100,000 on the engine. Stupid plastic intakes!

Hey everyone. We saw this discussion about our block sealer and wanted to say hi and see if we could help any further.
Our 1111 and 31111 products are the same formulation; they are different in terms of marketing/packaging because we sell into different geographies under different brands. So, you are correct in saying they're the same.
Both products have been immensely popular over the 24 months, and we stand behind them as solidly as anyone. In fact, here's a whole page of testimonials from real people about the 1111 product.
If you have questions before you use either 1111 or 31111, PM me or call 800-345-6572 x 204. Ask for Fred. Will be happy to help any forum member in any way we can.
Thanks everyone.

I did use the Bar's leak head gasket fix on our Cummins, it had coolant leak stains down the side of the block, not compression leaks, just coolant leaks, and it does seem to have taken care of it for now. Eventually the head gasket will get changed, but it is working for now, and it wasn't like it was a big leak anyway. If it was totally blown out, I doubt I would have tried at all. My uncle had a 454 that was starting to go, put the fix in and it got him home from Pennsylvania to Texas. Permanent, likely not, but seems to be a good temp fix to get you home, which many of these products are for.
