Like a dream! pulled at 65-70 most of the way. Got some heavy cross winds on the way home that slowed me down to 55-60, but a sway controller should help with that.

Looks like you have a Reese hitch. If you are looking for sway control, you should look at adding the dual cam straight line arms. You're half way there already since you have the right spring bars for them.

Thats what I'm using and I cant believe how well it works. I'm towing 31ft with a 119" wheelbase and no sway no matter the crosswind or passing trucks.

I'm sure the friction bars work, but I truly believe the straight line setup is much better. It is their flagship hitch.

https://www.etrailer.com/Weight-Dist...e/RP26002.html

In a side wind, the bars have enough straight line forces to turn the truck straight with the trailer. Both vehicles move as a unit in a straight line no matter what. Going around corners, you can feel the hitch forcing the trailer straight with the truck.

I'm very happy with the performance of mine. Especially with my combination.

So you move the chains from the bars to those brackets? I kinda see it, but then they are always on, so even when tight maneuvering to park their fighting you, right? I liked the idea of the friction units because you can turn them off for backing into tight spots.

Same experience here with an old Reese hitch on my Expedition. If it is set up correctly you will feel it try to keep the vehicle straight when turning. Works great!

Just flop the bars loose when backing up, or if it's really a tight turn remove them it takes literally under a minute. You don't need an weight distribution hitch when you're off the road parking..... I don't know if this is even required on newer hitches.

2008 F-450 Lariat at work

Here you go guys....this is pretty much all she does.
BTW - Both the Cyclone and the truck are For Sale as the kids don't want to camp anymore and it's just me and my DW. So, we want to downsize.

Yea that looks like a heavy SOB, puts the squat in that F450 springs, can't imagine why you would want to downsize.......my bride and I have a 34.5' 5th wheel. Rear kitchen and king size bed (which I could do without), 2 slides. Plenty of room for the 2 of us.
