You've got a six foot box, average three feet high and four feet wide would give 72 cubic feet of just over half a cord. Not trying to be picky but if you are buying wood by the cord you should know what your truck will hold.
Agreed. No where near 2 cords.

We don't use face cords.... Most guys that burn wood here will use anywhere from 6-10 cords a winter. Usually buy it by the truck load (straight truck will usually hold 5-6 full cords). Sorry for correcting you.

My 06 F250 6.0
This is the hardest work it does. The trailer is 28ft with living quarters.

Trucks looking good Collin! I'm assuming that's your granddads truck right? Its a good looking truck. That doesn't sound too heavy though, how come it looks like its sagging so much in the rear? Or maybe its just the angle of the picture? And what were ya doing with all the oysters?

Yep, one of his trucks. Forgot to mention about 500lbs of misc stuff in the bed. The trailer younger weight was leaning on the truck. I've also always thought that the camper shell makes it look different.
The truck has loads on it almost constantly, and I bet the springs aren't what they used to be.

That's the truck that the engine blew in at 152k miles. Now at 170k on the truck and about 85k on the replaced engine.

Planting the oysters. Public oyster ground is open currently, and we've been transplanting oysters from there to his shore that he can harvest whenever he wants. He'll need them in the spring. It sounds like a lot of work, but it'll be worth it when public shore closes and watermen aren't bringing him an oysters. Then he'll be sustaining himself.

Technically they're both loaded up.. Just one loaded up on the trailer lol. Bringing my 06 to work to fix a power steering leak and tinker over the next week or so
The 6.2l In my company 250 pulled my power stroke 350 pretty good.

Truck looks good Joe. Looks like you got a nice start on wood for the shed. Should be a fun project, I always liked helping my Dad with building sheds and other things.

Looking good Midnite, on both trucks. I really like your blue one. Are you going to start blacking out the chrome??? I still really like all the chrome on it personally, but hey its your truck and your decision. It still should look sweet with everything blacked out though.

Cool, sounds good Midnite. Good luck with it.

Trucks looking good Laxin. Even though its pretty dirty form all the salt there, mine looks about the same, haha. Darn winter roads. Plow looks good on there too.
