Ignition switch wiring diagram/color coding
Anyone know where I could find a wiring diagram relating to the ignition switch?
When I bought my truck, the previous owner had rigged toggle switches and a push button in place of the ignition switch. So, I just snagged a complete switch and the wiring plug off a '76-ish F150 in a junkyard, and dropped it off with a locksmith to be rekeyed.

I was working on getting my cluster to work and I moved something and I heard the unmistakable sound of something electrical arcing for just a split second. I got to looking around and there was as white wire behind my cluster with a stripped end connected directly to the starter solenoid terminal, otherwise connected to nothing. Glad I ripped that out before it burned the whole truck to the ground.

Well, apparently the switch I got was actually from a 78 truck, as the part number started with D8... All I had to do was to match up color to color, and everything works perfectly now! The color coding does match up in the diagrams you guys gave me, but there are several wires in the 78 that apparently were not in the earlier year models.
The locksmith charged me $40 to rekey the lock though, wasn't expecting it to be near that much!
