If it was "totaled" (knock on wood) you could get more. Do a search, say a 300-500 mile radius of the trucks with your EXACT options and average the prices. Sounds like there would be a lot but in reality you may find 10 total. Key is EXACT truck w/options.

 

Yeah I lucked out and got mine for a total of 5grand which is half of retail book...Figured I would spend a little on it of course for Recon but all in all way ahead of the game.

 

I lucked out on mine too, bought it from the original owner this spring with 143k miles on the ticker and basically bone stock for $6200. Plus the cost of 2 plane tickets from WA to CA for me and my buddy to go get it, and the diesel to get it home, but it was worth it

 

i picked up my 97 super cab 2wd auto for 5k. bad cps, owner had no clue

 

I bought my mine four years ago in February, 96 350 4x4 with 10' dump and 8.5 western plow 104000 miles for 3500. Guy thought the turbo was bad, just ebpv.

 

Got mine at the Peak of Diesel prices ($4.00+) from a couple with two newborns for $4500.00 @ 197xxx....

 

Not sure if this is legit, but if you're in the market then it looks to be a steel for what it is.
