71 heater box rebuild questions
im rebuilding the heater box on my 71 crew cab got to change the core so i'll be cleaning the rest of it up while it's apart i got it all tore apart except for the metal back cover on the one half which houses the air vent flaps it's riveted together my question is what do i do once i cut the flat round shaped rivets off and go to put it back together? i couldn't find any place that sells them for it online. what did you's use when you put yours back together? any hardware stores have that type?

Rivets and rivet tools are pretty cheap and easy to find and use, most decent hardware stores carry them. Here's your basic Harbor Freight El Cheepo:
Hand Riveter Set
It includes a 100-piece rivet assortment.
Hard to go wrong at that price, though you may want to use steel rivets rather than aluminum.

as for rivets i was looking for more of the factory type but if no luck there i'll settle for some bolts or other rivets
