The screen is in the canister, down about an inch on the drivers side. Turbo should be ok with no play. What's tied open is the ebpv, no big deal. The connection for it is under the turbo, two wire connector on the drivers side. I'll at least bump you up for more help on the power loss. I'm not sure
ok i found the screen and it was corroded i cleaned it and reinstalled.i didnt really see any change in the power.it appears that everything that has been suggested hasnt changed my top speed issue.its an f450 geared low maybe i should be looking for a diffrent rear gear setup?
You're probably just maxed out rpm's while cruising. I thought those came with like 4.56 or 5.13 gears, that's why you have such great low end and no top. I'd say you need to gear up if you want to cruise on highway better. Have you owned the truck a long time and it's gotten worse or did you just get it?
ive had the truck for a few years.it seemed to go faster early on and it does rpm high.i am not trying to break any speed records but to do the posted hwy speed would be nice.i havent drove the truck in a year i was using it in my welding buissness. what is the best gear ratio to use for overall highway and mpg?yeah my mpg sucks too 8 miles to a gallon truck empty
yeah mine tachs about 3k too.guess i will have to change the ratio?mine is a welding rig i carry a good bit of weight.i dont really need pulling power i need a hwy truck
I am rarely on the highway and when I am it is usually not for long.I pull a landscape trailer 90% of the time. Also pulls a small backhoe or skidsteer. So I like the low gears for pulling.
