Largest tires to throw under my stock '93 F-150?

I've got 235/75/15 Cooper Discoverer S/T's right now but they just look tiny in my wheel wells.

I'm thinking of going to a true 31"x10.5" Cooper ATR or S/T but I'd like to go a bit bigger if I can. I've heard you can go to a true 32" tire on a stock F-150 but I'm not sure.

I have all new suspension parts and would like to not have to buy anything new, including wheels.

What's the biggest size you have on your stock F-150?

Thanks!

throw on a $60 leveling kit, with some adjustable bushings, and you can fit 33's with a slightly offset rim.

32's with no new parts

My old f150 had 33's with a leveling kit, my current one has 31's all stock, but This one seems like 33's will fit. I will have to see.

32's may rub the radius arms. Mine did, but I have a Bronco.

I have had 33x12.50s on mine. Just trimmed the front bumper. BUT I also had them on 15x10 wheels with 4 inches of backspacing.

Now I have 16x10s with 4 inches of backspacing and 305/70R16s witch is also basically a 33 1250. I'm looking at 315/75R16s right now. Might do cut out flairs or 2.5 inch lift to clear them.

From where the wheel bolts onto the hub, to the very back of the wheel.

So it means your wheels stick out more? (when looking at you truck from the front or back) what did you use to back space them? Is there a product?

I bought new wheels. My 16x10s where only $112 each. If you are going to run any wider than a 10.50 tire, you should get wider than stock wheels.

From what I understand, it's more the width of the tire and backspacing that can cause problems than tire diameter. You could probably run 33x10.5 tires depending on the wheel without major issues. This depends on how your suspension sits too...some trucks sit higher up front than others just because of wear, or the springs that came with the truck. I'd imagine a 31x12.5 tire would be more likely to cause problems than a 33x10.5

I'm planning on getting a 32x10.5 for my stock suspension '88 4x4 f150 and don't expect any issues

I wouldn't go any bigger than 31's as you don't want to lose too much of its street manners.

The only advantage a larger tire has in this case is asthetic. Going from a 235/75 to a 31" tire is plenty.

With 31's on 91 F150 with 4.9 I am running under 2k rpms at 80. It does not make for a fun experience on the on ramp.
