'99 Lower control arm bushings

I'm in the process of replacing the ball joints, lower control arm bushings, and upper control arms on my 4x4 '99 F150. I'm having trouble getting the lower control arm bushings out of the arm, I've been trying to press them out with a ball joint press but I'm not having much luck. Is there a metal tab around the bushing that needs to be bent/pryed out or is it just rubber against the control arm? Do they usually press out with a ball joint press or is there an easier way? Thanks for your help.

i thought it was just a press. YOu should be able to look at the new ones and get a good idea of how they go in. I have removed some parts that had to be cut or split to remove due to the age and corrosion the original parts had.
