Great ebay find! Horn Cover

I was looking for a steering wheel cover and found this on ebay! I don't really need one (mine works fine) but man that looks good! Maybe someone can use it... The guy has some cool stuff!

Speaking of covers, anyone know a good steering wheel cover? Looking for something like the sew on kind. Haven't seen much at the parts stores lately...

Pep boys has the leather stitch on covers for about twenty bucks.

I always soak them in water. It helps stretch the leather around the wheel and when it is dry it shrinks tighter on the wheel.

Make sure to open the box. Sometimes the needles and waxed thread are missing.

I think that is what I'll get. I found them at JC Whitney for the same price and I have a 20% off coupon...

I'm going to run to Pep boys today to see what I can find. It's a little out of my way but Autozone, O'Reilly's and Napa didn't have what I needed... Checked Wal-Mart and Target too but wasn't expecting much.

I called the Pep today and they have some, so at least I know it isn't a wasted trip.

Pep boys had it and worked out pretty good.

first today, I used the water trick and that really worked out well.

Because the wheel has such a small diameter I left the foam one that was on there (you know the ones with the plastic "string" that wraps around...) and put the leather one on top. it took 2 hours and my hand feel like meatloaf but it came out pretty nice. I'll post some pics this afternoon.
