16.5" tires?

I have an Excursion with 33x12.50x16.5 tires. I am going to have to replace them in the near future, but can only find BFG ATs. Have 16.5" wheels been phased out?

They are hard to find and typically expensive when you do find them. Goodyear I believe makes them in their mt and mtr lines since the military uses 16.5 rims on a lot of their applications.

thats the ONLY reason I would have a 16.5 wheel... tires are a PITA to find, but if you're willing, you can find really REALLY good deals on surplus military tires in mostly a 37x16.5... if you want a 33 or 35x16.5, good luck finding them besides bfg...

So for street use they are obsolete? Looks Like I will be selling a nice set of 16.5" wheels with tires some time soon.
